I've got one installed, but haven't fired it up yet. My motor is a N/A but since I transplanted it, my only other option was a Sidedraft Carb. I have heard good things about the Haltechs but mainly on Turbo RX-7's. I ordered mine with the Terminated wiring Harness from RX7.COM

The triggerable outputs were also a selling point. I'm using one for my NOS triggle, one for my shift light, and one for my 6 ports trigger.

My only... I want... would be some way to load a 2nd fuel and ingnition map without a laptop. IE: A Valett mode, or Emissions mode with the flick of a swith or key.

with the fully terminated wiring harness did it come with every connector already on it, no adding or anything? and how easy (and fast) was the install of the system?

and also, I don't know if you have checked it out or not...but at haltech.com they have addons and stuff you can buy, I don't know it they will be able to do what you want, but they have **** there... I didn't look into it because I already ordered a laptop (sun of a b***h hasn't got here yet, been two weeks)....I found it pretty cheap www.gpscomputers.com I got the armada, it's only 600 dollars... pretty good machine too....

thanx

I've got a E6K and the harness is just plug and play for the most part. I did have to connect some wires and solder a few. There are also parts of the harness that don't even get used, such as the road speed sensor and the Idle speed motor. About the hardess thing to do was mount the throttle position sensor (You have to make a bracket to hold it).

Here's how I did mine. Welded a metal bracket:

Throttle Position Sensor mounted

I tool a bolt of the same diameter and belt sanded one side to get the slot it needed to go into the throttle position sensor. I then welded this onto a bolt. The same bolt thread as the throttle shaft. I then just bolted it on.

The other part that is a little tricky is the triggers inside the distributor and the ignitors. Both of these have to be soldered.

The you mount the air temp sensor (Drill and tap a hole), The Water temp sensor (Drill and tap a hole) and the map sensor.

As for programming it, Anything will work. It uses a DOS based program, so a fast computer may actually be too fast, in which you would have to run a SLOMO type program.

RX7.COM provided me with a BASE LOAD for my motor.

I orginally was just going to get it running.... but now have spend motor time removing all the crap it doesn't need. All of the hoses under the intake are GONE. I installed a cover on the EGR valve (curtosity of MazdaTrix). I installed the block off on the Air Pump and removed the Air pump. My car doesn't run Power steering, so that too is gone. All of the intake tubing is gone. I have a HUGE K&N Air Cleaner that bolts right to the front of the intake manifold. I also removed the 2nd butterflys in the throttle body. I installed a Racing Beat Header, Presilencer and Dynomax Super Turbo muffler on 2-1/2" tubing. I plan to add a SuperTrapp at the rear to further reduce noise. I've got 2 NOS Fogger nozzles tapped into the 2nd intake tubes. and I have a heck of a time finding 5/16" stainless fuel line.... which I just got yesterday..... So I am ALMOST ready to fire it up.

Further plans are to replace the stock 460cc injectors with something bigger. Probably 550cc Turbo Injectors.

I still have to buy a Limited slip rear for my car.

See the project here.

on the wiring harness, the connectors for everything were the right conenctors right? my father called up haltechs and they told him that the wiring harness comes with gm connectors, so i was wondering if they all use the same thing or if I'll need to get different ones.... the ones we are mostly worried about is the fuel injectors.....

also I was wondering what all you needed to buy for it, right now I'm buying these(ordering tommorow):

the e6k ecu

4 wire o2 sensor

map sensor (up to 15 psi one)

boost control module

fully terminated wire harness

I know you don't need the boost control module, but did you need to order anything else? I want to get it all in and not have to order anything else and wait longer, been without my car for too damned long....thanx for the help

Yes I think they are GM connectors. The Injectors go right on. I had to drill and tap a water temp sensor and air temp, soldered some wires for the Coils and Distributor. Everything else plugged in. I got the O2 sensor also, which I don't think they charged me for (Thanks RX7.COM). I did get the map sensor for a N/A engine. I bought a AirFuel Meter from SummitRacing.

Well my idea of ZOOM ZOOM would be a Rotary powered Mazda MP3, or Miata. I wish Mazda would bring back the Rotary to all of their vehicle lineup.

Save the best for the RX-7 of course.

How about a car with a single rotor motor @ each wheel? Ya I must be dreaming..
