The things I miss when I'm not on this forum...
I hope the distributors can get the lawsuit thrown out. A manufacturer has every right in a contract to tell a distributor that they cannot replicate a product or they will sue. However, they do not have a right to tell you that you cannot "open a box".
Much like, if you were Best Buy. You sell Sony products. You have every right to open a DVD player and look at the various components. However, I'm sure if you were to take that list of components, replicate it, and then try to sell it on your shelves (and Sony could prove that you copied their stuff),...then you could expect a lawsuit from Sony.
That manufacturer has no room to stand regarding a lawsuit. That is like Calvin Klein saying that I have to put my left leg in my boxers first and then my right leg.
