Just thought I'd share a few images I took from this year's Sebring 12 Hrs race. Alas, no rotaries present. Hopefully next year though! Let's start off with the overall winner Audi R8, opening lap. It led pretty much start to finish!

This isn't the most remarkable picture...take a look at the driver's front wheel however. It's off the ground! Est. speed is about 125mph through turn 1.

I used a Canon point and shoot :-) Actually my equipment consisted of Nikon D1H bodies with a 400mm f/2.8 AF-S, 80-200/2.8 AF-S, 1.4X AF converter and a 17-35 f/2.8 AF-S. Awesome pictures...I can appreciate good ones. First attemp was on the space shuttle launch with my Canon Rebel. But damn!! You some kinda freelancer or something? Sell those!!

I have a few Panoz shots too. Actually I have about 2,800 images total that I took during the course of the day. Managed to leave my flash at home so nighttime stuff is DOA.

I'll try and get some more up on Sunday. Very busy til then. I'll be in Moroso for the www.chinmotorsports.com event on Saturday. I think I have www.performance-drivers-club.com event the following Sunday (April 6) at one of the three big tracks...I think it's Sebring, not sure, so maybe you could meet me there Ryan if you're at home.



Mike, I haven't been back to CCP in over a week. Work and physical therapy keeping me busy! I got a new rear plate in (ruined my first one) so I'll probably port that on Sunday so I can start getting the motor together. I still have to do the exhaust ports too!



I may offer some sort of CD full of images if people are interested. It wouldn't be cheap, but all the images would be high res, watermarked and copywrite protected...you could print them, use them as screen savers, whatever, as long as it was non-commercial usage. It'd probably be right around $100 to $125 and pretty much be full. 650mb of images, probably 300+? Just a guess...

Did you get any pictures of the Pettit GT car while there? They had some engine problems early, but I think they got in a few laps.

yeah, i would like to see the pics of the pettit car too. however, it was misleading, the whole pettit car being there, as they "rented" the car out to someone that was going to pay for the ****.....or at least that is what cameron told me on the phone the other day......i WAS supposed to be there, but work strikes again......

I got a few pics of Pettit's car from the closed test day on Tuesday. They're no where near the caliber of Michel's pics, but I'll toss a couple up.

Oh, and r_xplicit is right, the car was rented to Brad Flowers for the race (maybe the whole season too), with Cam lending support as crew chief. As for the race, the engine did get damaged on the first lap as the car was over-revved when downshifting going into the hairpin. Happens.
