Ok guys, anyone have a guess/information on approx what the 1/4 mile run time for a stock 87 RX7 should be? My dad claims he ran mine thru atco @ 11.2 and can't find the slip, that seems WAY to low for stock, whats your input?

stock 1/4 mile times for Series 4 turbo II is more in the area of mid 15's.Unless it's beefed with a T88 under the hood.Even Vosko's FD with 416 rwhp is in the 12's on a good day till he tunes it.

It's prolly mid to low 15's then depending on elevation of the track.TurboII can go fast for decent $$$ tho.As vosko about his.He killed a few engines tho.I think he over boosted a few. It's all good tho. :bigok:

I'd look at a FMIC and bigger injector so it can withstand higher boost levels.I think my next project I might buy a JDM T2 driveline and dump it in a FB chassis.Power to wieght is nice to have. :smirk: They never suspect the first gens.

What kind of cheap(er) mods or tricks do they have to drop the times but stay somewhat reliable and not kill my burger king salary

Find an 89-91 series turbo and manifold, that is a great upgrade for the cost (I got mine with 30k on it for $270)

Throttle Body mod stage 1, doesnt really add power, just much better throttle response and ditches the hot coolant flowing through the throttle body system.

TID mod - one of the best bang for the buck mods. Supposedly much more torque and engine responsiveness with as little as $15 in home depot parts.

And stock TIIs runs mid to low 15s. If he majorly screwed up, he could have ran that time in the 1/8th mile

11.2 in the 1/4? Does it have a jet engine strapped to the roof?
