9base3...Which set up would you recommend on a reman stock engine..Ray at malloy Mazda just called me and he will let me know by next week wed...when my engine will be coming in.

I was going to get a large street port ..but im not sure on that...I'll have to pay a good amount of $$$ just to port a new engine..I don't know if its justifiable..

I'm looking for midrange power something that will spool by the 3k. that will keep me from trying to kill myself.

On a stock ported motor I'd recommend a TO4S. .86 A/R should spool nicely and is capable of ~400hp.

I'll get you whatever specs you want.. Just as long as they actually make it LOL!

I can get you a TO4R with a .56A/R hotside if you like... Won't make more than about 300 or so, but it'll spool so fast your head will spin! I might put one on my lawn mower.. haha!

damn it, Mr. Huegel...lol

lets imagine for a second that i do get this kit. then my engine for some unknown reason dies. and i get this crazy idea about sticking a 20B in my car. which set up, if any, would be good for a 13B-REW and also for a 20B?

thanks

I'd imagine most of the turbos that work on the 13BREW efficiently, will be too small for the 20B. Maybe a TO4R?

See if you can ping Jspecracer7 or Dragon.. Maybe IGY too. Oh and j9fd3s. They know more about the 20B than me..

hey justin...

i was wondering, what material is the downpipe made of? and has the v-band issue from your turbo been fixed for the rest of the kit?

The DP is mild steel. You can get it jet hot coated as an option if you like.. (I am) I think it's like 150.00. I'm sure we could do them in SS, but it's not exactly cost efficient (lol) and it really isn't necessary. The V-Band issue on mine was a cheap clamp. It's all about fitting them together.. Kinda tricky at first. I bought a 40.00 clamp and it still leaked until I got it fit right.
