chuck from rotaryextreme is willing to make a replica of the re amemiya diffuser (the one that fd3boost posted in the group buy section). im trying to guage the interest and to see if we can get at least 10 people to jump in

If there is someone that donates the diffuser, the cost will be $300+shipping.

If I have to buy the diffuser to make the mold, I have to distribute the cost on top of each one sold so the diffuser will be $350+shipping.

If the CF one can be made, it will be $200 more. It has those fins a lot like the Mazdaspeed RX8 rear bumper. My car made the rear bumper in CF already so I think he should be able to do it.

I can only make it if we have 10+ buyers. Otherwise the cost of the mold is too much.

Thank you.

dcrosby 12-30-2003 02:50 PM

I'm in... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png R1 lip Material would be preferred... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

FikseRxSeven 12-30-2003 02:56 PM

i wouldnt want r1 lip material to be used..... if you notice the rear of our cars have an "r1 lip material" lip below the rear bumper. well it melts when it gets hot

Well, I guess fiberglass will work as long as I can paint it a flat black to match the R1 lip.

If you notice, his name is "Tim Benton again" with only 1 post, so obviously he couldn't post with his previous name.

FikseRxSeven 12-31-2003 06:33 PM

hmmmm, didnt know that.... someone must not like you.. haha

Tim Benton again 12-31-2003 11:19 PM

I guess not:)

Don, I plan on making the 3 state meet in Feb, whenever it gets set in stone. Sorry for the absence at the poker run...stucked I couldn't make it, so I know I got hammered by the others there:)

I've always thought this diffuser looked great, I'll just have to remove my rear mud guards. Heck Don, you just put yours on.

Will the CF be stronger? Not that I drive mine much and it never drags on anything, but just curious. Thanks again Chuck for stepping up and making these.

Tim

Tim Benton again 12-31-2003 11:22 PM

BTW Martin, way back in 96 when I was at PFS getting my first major mods installed, I wanted the Fikse rims...they look great on the car. props dude.

Tim

tampaFD 12-31-2003 11:32 PM

Turbomark7 01-01-2004 06:20 AM

Why the ill-fitting exhaust on hedgehog car?

Yeah the tri-state meet will be cool. Looks like it will be in Atlanta more than likely.

Yeah I hate that I just bought my mud guards. I wonder if there's a way to modify the diffuser to work with them? A Dremel tool perhaps? Anyone?

PoMan Ferrari 01-01-2004 10:25 AM

I'm in for FG at around $300.

Not really expecting it to work just want to cover up the gas tank and smooth out the rear lines.

thanks for the compliment tim https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Tim Benton again 01-01-2004 08:56 PM

what size rims are they, front and rear?

How much did they set you back. At the time I think they were about 500 a rim back then, if I remember correctly.

Tim
