On the old RE lens I have on the car now I used the same black polyurethane sealer that is used to install windshields. It comes in a tube sold at a autobody supply store. You need a caulk gun to apply it and it is about $30 a tube. The lens have the same chance of blowing off as your windshield has (which is hopefully none). This is the type of stuff that RE uses.
