those are the older re diffusers..... jt can get them, but they're expensive as hell
|
If you want to GB it, it will be HELL-O cheap. The problem is we need at least 3 people but no more then 4, unless we can get 6-8 doubtful. Then pick it up from the airport and send them out within the US. I dont remember the cost to send one from Cali to NJ, but I think it was $50, which saves everyone quite a bit.
Otherwise yeah its pricey due its odd shape and size. Just over the limits..... |
GB for one of these? Sheet...I'm down for one. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif
|
ill be the 3rd person in the group buy for the right price
i guess they're not as expensive as i thought they would be so whats the price for 4? |
Price? I'm interested in one of these. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Its definatly the better looking diffuser and functional.
I think last year we GBed them for $595.95 shipped? I dont have the info with me right here. Anyway I think we could do it around that. It depends also where everyone is. They are a little out of UPS size, but once we see where everyone is at, and everything we can see about price and info. ALSO please include if your willing and or able to pick it up from a local airport, since I will get that quoted too, but it will still be $$ that way for a single diffuser. |
any shots from the side of the car?
|
I'm near LAX and can pickup and re-ship as long as I'm not out any aditional money than the people I'm shipping to....
BTW I'm interested, but with money beeing a bit uncertain around Xmas, I'd rather do this around the new year, but I can possibly stir up some $$ if you guys want to do this asap.... -DC |
let me know what happens i'm interested too.. btw is this for carbon fiber or fiberglass?
|
Uh, from what I understand CF is not availible as a RE-A.. part... I'd think you could get it coated like the CF dash parts that someone is making .... I'd be nice to have that thing in polyurathane, but I somehow doubt that that will happen....
I personally am not interested in CF since I plan on Painting/ Keeping it Black anyhow... -DC |
Yeah it wasnt available in CF threw RE-Amemiya and anywhere else that I know of for that matter. I believe because of all the curves and edges.
Anyway Urathane wouldnt happen yoru right hehe, but I dont have a nick in mine after 4-5 months of driving with it on. Not as low as the muffler so it doesnt hit anything before the muffler does (backing up or whatever). You can have it painted with POLU Urathane paint hehe Yes is FRP |
i would love to get my hands on one of them and copy that bitch, lol
|
Ya, we should try to shoot for around Mid January/February. I know we'll be getting taxes back and will be able to recover from Christmas shopping blues.
|
That sounds like an excellent idea Van.
I am in for a group buy around the 2nd month of 2004. I can pick up local from Dulles Iternational, Baltimore Washington Inrernational. or Reagan National. Pik the airport. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
i can pick up from newark international airport (ewr)
|
any other pictures of that diffuser in different angles?
|
|
I'll go in on the group buy. Can pick up my own in the SoCal area too.
|
humm
If we get 3-4 in cali and 3-4 in NJ or close to it, that would be great price wise for everyone. I got some questions today so I will post them too RE-AMEMIYA says you need to take off the rear bumper to get it on. WRONG, just need to remove that piece of plastic that runs the length of the bumper, kind of a pain, you will have to push and squeeze, but its a one person job and it will take you weither your a mechanical inclined person or not, about 30min-1hr, you have to drill too small hole behind each wheel or use some DAMN GOOD double sticky tape, its not a big deal really since it bolts to the gastank area too. I put my own on(had time), getting it one is a lot easier then getting that old piece of plastic off. You will have to trim around your exhaust(all makes), its not so much the size of the can, its the angle of the piping, and also the exhaust hangers. VERY SIMPLE though. If your ghetto like hehe, a hacksaw blade and some sand paper will work fine or PRO tools work too. Router, dremel etc... |
put me down for one in jersey, i can also pick mine up at the newark airport.

Sounds like me are HALF way there. We only need one person to pick up each box at the airports, but its all good.
If you guys want to work out a date, that would be good. I know RE doesnt stock them so its about 1 week to get 3 of them, so 6 is 2 weeks but busy during the holidays.. Anyway though Im down for what you guys come up with. I have the easy part. |

|
Thanks... I was going to ask that soon. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

i am interested for feb. in tampa can pick up at airport
|
am i the 4th in jersey?? i can pick them up no problem. live like 15 mins from ewr and have access to a pick up.
|
Put me down on Feb 2004 list. Quick question... will it fit with the rear mudguards?
|
Well looks like NJ is covered for the GB
As for rear mudguards that a nope. No rear side skirts either. Or C-west rear bumpers, or knightsports rear bumpers either. I mean if you want to keep the rear mudguards you can, but it will be a SUPER SUPER SUPER PAIN-O-ASS and close to impossible after cutting the diffuser all up. Personally I think it looks a lot better back there then any rear sideskirt or mudguard. It wont catch mud like the PRO version. We can do part of the GB now and part later, but in order to do this we would need at least 3 diffusers going to the same airport, with 3 people in that area to pick theirs up. Or we can just GB it all later, up to you guys. I just need about 2 weeks to get all the diffusers and collect all the payments and get it all good to go. |

Humm when it comes time we can see if someone can drop kick one over to ya. hehe
|
so is the price stuck at the previously stated price... or is this "more the marrier" kinda deal?
|
ALWAYS the more the marrier, but when it comes time and I smack RE-Amemiya around HEHE about some kickass prices for NP, then I will know more about an exact price, but it will be very close to $600. shipped
Part of the GB is though, those guys that live lets say in the BOONIES, someone will pop their over to them and I will pay the additional cost, when you give or whomever gives me the reciept fax, scan, or mail doesnt matter. I just need at least 3 in a box to keep the price and no more then 4 in a box. Also the box must be picked up. I can arrange that.. say if we have 12 people but its 6 in cali and 6 in NJ thats fine, but if we have 5 in cali 3 in NJ and 3 in FL, then we have to help out the cali guys, once the box gets to a certain size, 5 or more diffusers its WAY too expensive to ship. I hope that makes sense. So we say we have Cali group customer 1, 2, and 3 NJ group we have customer 4 and 5 and Fl we have Customer 6 and 7 Well the CALI group is fine, the FL and NJ guys have to decide who will get the diffusers from the airport all 4 of them. Then whomever picks them up can send 2 in one box down to FL or over to NJ and give me the reciept so I can reimburse... COOL? Make sense? Work is slow today, so so I am hehe |
Not to steal Jasons steam although its my thread.
I was just loaned the diffuser by a local Fd owner and I intend to make replicas. Anyone intersetd in a much mower priced replica. Say $250-$300. Parts will not be low quality just not originals. |
haha cool, yet another one dies.
|
I'd rather get the RE piece. If the other SoCal guys are still in, we still have 3 SoCal guys.
