Since SMP is willing to play the role of collector, we will all just send the money to them. I am still trying to get a hold of Dave to answer the few remaining pricing questions from above. Then I will contact the remaining 4 ppl, and make sure we have everybody on board.

[quote name='Crusader_9x' date='Mar 28 2005, 06:11 PM']www.microtechefi.com From what i remember that is the official site.

Could you get me a price on the x4 ignition box and the bosch coils.

[quote name='sunshine' date='Apr 5 2005, 06:37 PM']UPDATE:

I spoke to Matt at SMP (Dave was not available b/c they have spent every waking hour in the past week assembling the Falken Drift Car). This is what I have from Matt:

1) SMP will accept payment directly. They will accept MO or Paypal. Their Paypal addy is sales@speedmachineperformance.com. If you are sending payment to them directly, then make sure you label the payment very clearly stating that it is money for the Microtech GB, and obviously, include what unit + accessories you are buying.

2) The Dash controller is the new unit. The old unit is, well, old.

3) X4 ign box and coils - Dave will get me prices, as Matt did not know.

4) 6 ign module - Dave will get me prices, as Matt did not know.

So far,

We have 4 ppl.

1) me

2) crusader7x

3) dvls

4)chris-reedtn

5) ???

as soon as we have a 5th person, we can send the cash

I hope that the above is not suppose to be me, becase i never said i was in as you can see above. I wanted a price, if i can afford it with the x4 and the coils then i might.

Hey! I want in on this, too!! I tried contacting FC3s.org about this but I couldnt get a reply. I will buy a LT8S right now if this is still happening. Should I try to contact Dave again (like call them)?

I returned all your emails.

last we spoke, the deal was not better.

No worries. I dont have any vested interest in this deal. I dont care if the GB is thru SMP, MicrotechEFI, or the devil himself. All I care about is getting us the ECU for as little money as possible.

Do you have a vested interest in the MicrotechEFI GB? You are pushing pretty hard. Also, how did you get permission to post up on rx7club.com? They would not respond to my requests for permission to set up the GB.

To everyone else - go check out the other GB and see which you like better. If you all like the other GB better, then we can do that one and drop this one.

Sorry if there was some miscommunication between us Sunshine, last i rememberd i had sent an email asking what you wanted to do about all of it... its ok its no big deal probably my fault of memory

And Microtech got back to me, they forgot to take out the 10% GST (tax) from their price. So the deal i got from them does work out better in the end, even though we must pay shipping.

Vosko said he wanted to see what happens with this group buy before he puts up my GB thread here.

With all the people in this buy plus me and Kahren, we have almost 10 people already. There will be an even better deal if we can break the 20 mark.

I'm going to PM Vosko.

As for my vested interest in this group buy, the extent of it is the fact that its an amazing deal. That and i really need a unit myself to get my car on the road. What i didn't want is to have two group buys running side by side interfering with number of participants.

I think just like you, people deserve the best deal. I've in fact paid a fee out of my own pocket to allow a Group Buy Thread to be posted on other forums such as zilvia.net (they charge a one time fee to post each group buy)

Ill keep everyone updated, as for now, i have threads up on rx7club.com and teamfc3s.

I got permission for rx7club by talking to an admin on AIM. I guess i just got lucky or something :P

Where is the thread located on rx7club? I didn't see it in the group buy section.

Yeah, their Admins are VERY CONFUSED.

I had already worked out the agreement to have the group buy posted with one admin, and another one deleted my thread because he thought it did not belong there.

I am working it out right now, and the thread at rx7club will be back up in no time.

Lets not make things complicated, please. Like OneEyedJack said, we all just want a damn good ECU for a damn good price. So lets make this happen!!! Is the deadline still April 30th? Sooner would be better, but I can wait a few weeks more to save ~$300!!
