Final payment is not due any time soon. They will be due when the sideskirts are ready to be shipped.

I got some good news and bad news. Good news is that 4 sets of sideskirts have been done. I just need to order some custom boxes so hopefully I can have those shipped out by Fed Ex Ground to save you guys some money on shipping.

The bad news is that one of the fiberglass workers forgot to wax the mold before making the sideskirts so the mold is messed up. Luckily I still have the original sideskirts so I can have another set of molds done but the rest of the people will have to wait a little to receive theirs. Really sorry about this.

Chuck:

So, as my name is atop the list, I'm assuming that one of those sets is mine. Do you have a total amount due (balance + shipping) yet?

Thanks,

Bob

Yes, one of them is yours. I need to wait for the boxes to arrive in order to figure out shipping. If they can be shipped via Fed Ex ground, I will charge shipping in advance. If they have to go by freight, you will pay shipping to the freight company directly just like for the diffuser.

Thank you.

I think that I am the first one because I am the first to pay the total amount.

r-magic 06-20-2004 08:07 AM

Hey Chuck, Can u give us an update of who gets the first 4. Are u going by the list? I think this will clear things up.

And so it begins https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

gcthree 06-21-2004 03:26 PM

Me thinks the list will serve the purpose. Good try, though.

rotaryextreme 06-25-2004 09:33 PM

We are going to go down the list. Let's not fight over who gets their first like some kids fighting over some toys. We are all mature adults, aren't we? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

3 sets of sideskirts went out today. Gcthree (Bob), please check your email for the balance info so I can get yours out.

For the rest of the orders, they will be finished in about 2 weeks. Thank you for your patience.

And if there is anyone who wants to get the original one instead, I will sell the original one for $500+shipping.

Tom group buy WAY over, I emailed the mrccfl list and eddie I think about 3 times trying to let you know but never heard from you, that was WAY back when we still needed people just to get it going, then again when we "needed" more people to lower the price. but I thin Chuck has already said he will sell them but for more money than GB price.

Before we lost a bunch of threads on this forum, I remember Chuck posted a few tips on the sideskirts installation....Did anyone happen to save them?

rotaryextreme 01-16-2005 07:10 PM

First, you need to test fit them before you paint them. There is going to be very minor trimming but you want to do that before you paint the sideskirts.

There is a flange goes into the door jam. You need to secure that flange onto the door jam either use some glue, rivets or low profite screws.

Secure the side flanges which wrap around the fenderwell using some self tap screws. That's pretty much it. If you take it a bodyshop that has put on any kind of sideskirts on any kind of cars, they should know how to do this.

Awesome thanks Chuck

Tom Barker 01-25-2005 03:36 PM

Chuck,

Thanks for your patience with me not getting back to you in a timely manner.

All good things take time. I received the side skirts, they were well packaged.

Fitting took alot of time, total of 12 hrs hand sanding on the back side to get them to fit up well to the car, but mostly to fit under the door without the door hitting.

Did not want the door to scratch them when it closed. Final Clearance was a credit card or less. Car is Montego Blue and they look great. Thanks again for your help.
