OK C's has offically been terminated. Looks like they were holding on

till the last minute, so Im going to do a GB for ALL CARS SHORT SHIFTERS.

All models normal from other shops $300 or more plus shipping

JT normal price $235.95 shipped

JT GB PRICE IS $210.95 shipped. FDs are getting kind of slim, I have some

FC ones pretty handy. S2000 pretty handy, and a few others so tell your friends

after this they will all be USED, get yours NEW while you can.

bplo 07-27-2003 06:58 PM

I'll take one for the FD before they are gone... sent a pm

Brett

JT-Imports 07-27-2003 07:15 PM

C's will work will all the same shift knobs are your original shifters.

This will be the VERY LAST so take advantage.

BRETT--PMed ya back

rotarychainsaw 07-27-2003 08:40 PM

The ones for the FC. Are the threads for the shifter for the 89+ cars? Or 2 diffrent shifters, s4 and s5?

JT-Imports 07-27-2003 10:51 PM

There is a shifter or the SA and the early FC, and the FC after 89/88

I was under the impression that C's was the Kingpin of shifter companies. What happened?

SPEED_NYC 07-28-2003 02:18 AM

sorry to take this off topic, but jason did you get my PM about the stationary gear bearings? i need them asap.

thanx

Roan

JT-Imports 07-28-2003 08:04 AM

I dont know what exactly happened to them but that they went broke. I guess just a shifter going for you isnt enough now days. Companies come and go in Japan TRUST ME, but a very quality shifter.

Roan--I got it but Im having a hard tim getting a hold of them, no answer..humm

FDokinawa 07-29-2003 12:07 AM

I'm down.. been holding off on getting one for a while now.. sounds like a good deal.

JT-Imports 07-29-2003 03:18 AM

Even though there isnt many posts here, it looks like this one will be big. hehe

Srce 07-29-2003 12:31 PM

Okay, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and buy my first FD mod without the car.

PMed you back

and Also not a problem but hurry they are getting further and further from my grasp

Srce--Yeah I thought so hehe

Stang94GT 08-04-2003 09:22 PM

Excuse my ignorance, but what makes one shifter better than the other? From all the reading I've done so far, it looks like the only real benefit is a shorter throw. Do any of these have adjustable stops so that you can't overrun the 3rd gear or 4th gear shifts? Do these have self-centering springs so that you can do an easy 2-3 upshift? Someone please enlighten me as I am new to FDs.

Thanks!

rfreeman27 08-04-2003 10:28 PM

yes it makes the shift shorter and makes 3rd a "no miss situation" lol

If your really worried about over shifting and you want to lock out

other gears, you might be interested in the STILLWAY drag shifter

It's an FD man, not a Dodge Neon LOL.

Stang94GT 08-05-2003 06:40 AM

Srce: I'm not sure what a dodge neon has to do with having a self-centering spring/mechanism for the 2-3 upshift. If you must know - yes, I also have a dodge neon. I think this type of mechanism is highly advantageous, especially if you are in a drag race type situation - as Jason mentioned above. When you're in the heat of it, you don't think to pause, move the shifter over, then slide it into 3rd. Much easier to just bang through the gears. - My opinion. If you know anyone with a mustang and a pro 5.0 shifter go check it out - best shifter in the world.

JT-Imports 08-05-2003 07:08 AM

I feel arguing coming soon. Just keep it nice in my thread, Im not a mod though hehe

Yeah the Stillway would be nice, but the FD is smooth already, I mean in some other cars I drove, you had to kick the shifter the right way, and then it still was wrong and GRINNNNNNNNNDDDD So I think your good with just a short shifter, Stillways page is down and I talked to them the other day, they will be coming out with some parts next month, so they are holding the release, maybe some more shifters hehe

FDokinawa 08-05-2003 08:05 AM

I've been thinking about picking up a Stillway for Drag only.. kinda bulky to use for daily driveing.. throw it in when you get to the track.
