I think it is kind of silly that you swapped the S2k engine into an RX-7. But it is your choice. Why not swap a LS1?

But it is your car, whatever. It is silly, and kind of interesting at the same time. Damn you!!

First off, it isnt his car. Read.

Second off, if you have a FC with no drivetrain, and have a S2k motor and trans...Why not?

Mucho respect to anyone who can do a clean complete driveline swap

nobody realizes what level of fabrication and skill it takes to attain that CLEAN of an install

Piston into a rotary car ooohhh the devil big deal.

If you took a 1982 diesel jetta engine, dressed it up, and stuffed it into your RX7, I'd give you props if you did a clean job

What people should hate is backyard v8 swaps by hack mechanics that look like garbage and have no clue what it means to have a penetrating weld

I think its a waste of an RX7? He could have just put in a rotary that was easily capable of the same power.

But I see the dillema. If you have an S2K motor laying around, what are you gonna put it in. A heavy Supra?

People should be honoured the RX7 chassis is so well designed that it's considered an excellent canidate for any "monster" swap

So If I swapped a 13B-REW into my protege, is it a waste of a protege?

It's a double standard. It's okay to put rotaries in anything, it's just not right to take them OUT and replace them with a piston motor.
