I have a 2000 Yamaha XP 1200 that got dumped on me as a project. The motor wont start, and was told the exhaust manifold is dumping water into the engine bay. So Im tempted to pull the motor and sell it, either complete or as parts. I can probably recover most of what I have into it by doing that, leaving me with the hull and jet drive. Plenty of room for a rotary, and I wouldnt have to deal with the nightmare of a carbed rotax that only sees limited use.



Anyone have any input on this?

 

AFAIK freedom engines make a jet ski rotary and supply small engines

they would be the people to talk to regards coupling to the jet and even using one of their ( OMC ) type engines
