[quote name='89 Rag' date='Sep 13 2005, 01:41 AM']lol, you really never have struck me as the kind of person that takes the easy way out, I was just thinking out loud. I know it's gonna be trick when it's done.

[quote name='89 Rag' date='Sep 13 2005, 12:19 AM']I love the placement of the coolers and such, seems like the job would be easier, flow wise, if the rows matched the angle of the installed rad and cooler.

Aftermarket snout i'm assuming?

Only problem is if you ever got in a small fender bender. You can kiss that rad/ oil cooler good bye. Where as the stock setup it will live.

If that's the worst thing about the new radiator/oil cooler setup, consider yourself lucky, Adam.

Im reworking the bumper support in the front for some extra crash protection. And theres still 7" between the bumper skin and the most forward part of the radiator.

Another plus is the ground clearance Im going to gain in the front. The lowest point is still a couple of inches above the bottom of the subframe.

Should I keep this thread pertaining to just the REW swap, or the build of the rest of the car as well?

might as well do the whole car

Since the factory cross braces were blocking so much of the airflow with how i have the radiator sitting, I decided they need to go. So I scrapped the stock radiator support as well and welded in a new radiator support that ties into all 4 frame rails in the front of the car. This bumper support should protect the radiator should I get in a minor front end colission, as well as make the front of the car much stronger overall. There is no flex in the front of the car whatsoever now. Removing the factory bracing and such also frees me from having to use the stock mounting points for the front edge of the fenders and the bumper, and gives me more freedom in redesigning the front end.

Heres where Im at now, still undecided on whether the headlight mounts will be staying or going. I need to do some drawing and take some measurements first.
