Ok, I recently bought a used transmission from Apex Motor Sports and installed it into my 88 non turbo rx7. The tranny will shift into 1st and 2nd but is blocked from all other gears. What makes things even more difficult and odd is that when I started it, neutral functioned as reverse and the only two gears I could go into do nothing. This is a very unusual and has had my brother and I scratching our heads for days. If anyone has any information or experience with such an issue please fill me in. Ohhh, and the tranny was very poorly shipped, apex shipped it out full of fluid and had to pick it back up from UPS, drain it and ship it back out. By the time it arrived at my house the packaging was oil soaked, loose, and partially open.

I've got 2 n/a trannies. You can have them for free (though a 6 pack would be nice) if you come pick them up; you're ~3 hours away. Both worked when removed, one a little notchy but worked fine (~165k miles), the other felt just fine (~145k miles).

Yeah, that sounds great!! The only issue is I would have to find a way to get up there. It would be totally worth it, I will just have to convince my brother to let me borrow his truck. Well, my number is 352.502.3133 if you want to give me a call and we can work out the details.
