Hi guys,



I'm about to fit a RX8 Renesis into a single seater racing car.



I was told that the engine I bought was a high output motor. Can anyone tell me what to look for to re-assure myself that it is indeed the right lump?

i think they are the same engine only differance is the manual has more hp than the auto ??? i think

 

No, the engine will have extra runners in the intake depending on the year. Early engine had 4 ports configuration for the autos. Now both manual and auto get 6ports.



Look at the intake manifold , if you have 3 runners for each rotor, you have a high revving engine.

It has 4 yellow injectors and 2 red.

 

Yup, thats the 6 port (high output).



The rotating sleeves on that manifold are the 5th and 6th ports (AUX ports).
