Now,a few questions. What dumpvalve gives that distinct whistle on overrun? It sounds gorgeous.

Also, what turbo gives that distinct high pitch whistle under boost? What causes it to do this.Is it the turbine wheel ratio to the comp wheel or what?

I want mine to sound like this. Its important.........
the dumpvalve in that video..

i believe it's an HKS Super Sequential Blow-off Valve (HKS SSQV)

not sure about your other question though...maybe....external wastegate setup?

Well-guys-its playtime.I had some issues with the time the engine builder took-so him being a guy that still has the passion and the pride in his work-he gave me a Turbosmart wastegate, tubular manifold and a hybrid turbo of some sort.

Pretty cool hey.So i got the motor on the day before Christmas-and we were making noise on christmas day.Not bad.

Nothing is tuned yet,so i just started it-drove it around the block-did a donut-and parked it again.I have to wait for the people to come back to work now.

You guys should see the ports on this thing.......He also fitted some fancy lightweight rotors. This thing is going to be wild. The turbo set-up i got on there now did 400 rwhp at 1bar boost on a motor thats not as wildly ported as mine.It has that distinct bridgeport idle.Who knows.......

Anyway-here is some more pics.I had to redo the oilcoolers yesterday and fit a larger radiator.Thats all done.

BTW-happy 2006 all.

I havent been here for a while.Well,it wasnt all plain sailing. Some engine problems, redesigning the whole car and some minor niggles. It has done 1000km so far.No problems.Im running it mildly,.8bar boost and no more than 8500rpm.

Produced 330rwhp at this boost and weighed in at 766kgs.did a preliminary 11.7 at 201kmh run.I have serious traction issues though.

I hope to be in the tens by year end though.
