how much work is involved in putting a rotary into a 79 ford courier right now it has a 2.0L with a 5spd. Also I had the same thought about putting a rotary into my 86 honda civic since it decided to throw the timing belt.. I love the power from a rotary...

I wasn't sure what a Ford Courier is, so I did a search - this is what i came up with..

Seems to be an old LT from Mazda, maybe it's similar to a B-series/REPU conversion? Sorry I don't know more about it!

Yeah... A courier is just like a REPU. If I were you I would just buy a REPU the is a whole REPU forum... You can find one, and they look better, already have a rotary in them, and are Mazda's! What more can you ask for?

Also it would be pretty hard to put a rotary in a honda, due to it being front wheel drive. If you can find a tranny that will bolt to a rotary, and is front wheel drive, then you could probably do it pretty easily. Woudn't be to much room issues, just start looking around at front wheel drive mazda's and see which ones will bolt to the 13B, 12A, 10A..... so forth.
