Hi guys, Im currently doing a 13B-RE swap in my 1988 N/A rx7. I'll run it with the 13B-RE ECU. The problem is that i dont have the 13B-RE mass air flow (air flow meter) and i can't find a place where i can buy one. So i have though about buying a TII mass air flow. Do you think it'll can run the engine with the 13B-RE ecu? Even better if you know a place where i can find the RE air flow that would be the best.

Thnx for youre help

Phil

You would make life a lot easier on yourself by getting an TII computer, harness, and AFM. The RE will run good with that. I haven't tried using the RE ecu but from what I understand is that unless you are going to use the Cosmo automatice tranny and various other things you will never get it to run. I helped a friend put a stock RE into a TII with the TII tranny and stock ecu and it runs great. You could always go standalone too. Ive got an E6x on mine.

Well i want to run the sequential twin turbos if possible. Im running the engine with a TII tranny. What i understand from you is that i cant run the TII tranny with the RE ecu? Other question, can the RE harness run with the TII ECU or i have to change it all?.

Thnx for yure help

Yeah, the RE computer won't run the motor without the auto tranny hooked up. And no, the RE harness is completely different than the TII ECU. I guess if you could find out some kind of wiring diagram to somehow get rid of the auto tranny you could get it to work and maybe run the turbos sequential, but its going to be a real nightmare.

the s5 t2 or 94-97 626/mx6/probe v6's afms will plug right into the cosmo harness, but putting the cosmo harness in the car is a HUGE job.
