Basic description of hooking up ignition for no trail-split timing on a 20BREW w/ an E6K.

Would there be any benefit to running the 13B like that, with NO SPLIT?

Not really. The reason why you can't run split on a 20B with the E6K is because it lacks the functionality to do so. Ever hear an audio or video clip of a 20B with an E6K? It makes the engine sound like it misses a bit. That's normal for that type of setup, but it still sounds different.

Edit: The sound could also be from the injector firing sequence, which is also different from stock.

good stuff b . you will find that the engine type needs to be piston, it tries to toggle on the rotary settings

Thanks. I wasn't paying attention to any of that. I just wrote that up as a quickie for a friend of mine last year to help him get his car running and out of the garage. Figured it'd be some help.

it is helpful. i did the same thing, it was the only thing i hadnt changed and the engine said rotary, so i figured the haltech should be rotary too. the thing is the 20b is really a v6 even though it says rotary right on it
