So Haltech software will not run on XP? can this be confirmed?

it won't work on xp it will work with a dos boot disk though!

Sounds like alot of work.. haha.. Thats cool.. but wierd..



Just went on the site.. What is the deal with that halwin stuff? It says that runs on windows.. or is it not for the E6K/X?

e11 is halwin, the e6k/e6x is still dos

the e6k software also works in gnu/linux under dosemu.



you can probably make it work under xp too, by running vmware or something else to give it a dos environment.

XP will allow you to select a compatability mode. Right click the program executable in Explorer, select the compatability tab & select 98.



Dunno how well it works, being Microshaft & all...............

i can also confirm haltech software doesn't work on xp, took me a week to figure it out but i did.
