lmfao...spoken like someone who's hasn't experienced military life(or it's paycheck) yet. I GUARANTEE you that an FD will empty your pockets quicker than a blonde can drop her panties. I'm an E-5 with 8 years Married and living in Japan(extra Cost of Living Allowance) and can barely keep up at times...

Rules for living on military pay (if you want a nice car):



1) DON"T GET MARRIED!!!



2) DON'T GET ANYONE PREGO (yes, even a navy chick)!



3) DON'T GET MARRIED!!!!! (get that one embedded yet?)



4) Buy six packs. Wait until you're friends get drunk and then drink from the 4 cases they bought.



5) Screw what everybody else is doing. Do what ever you need to do to make rate. Just try to limit the *** kissing.



6) Join Navy Fed. and get a loan from them. Then pay by allotment.



7) Avoid credit cards and never trust anyone else to pay your bills. No matter how much she says she loves you.



8) If you get stationed in San Diego: T.J. IS THE DEVIL!!!!! Avoid it as much as you can.



9) DON'T GET ANYONE PREGO!!!!!



10) DON'T GET MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!



If you try to stick to these, you can still party, have fun and have some cash for your ride. Especially if you make rate fast. Play "the game" in boot camp and study in "A" school and you could be an E-4 by the time you get to your first command. It's all about the benjamins.

I feel for ya with the FD. These guys are right the fd is more expensive then you can imagine. But i say more power to you since i'm 17. But hell i didnt know **** about cars before i was 16. then i started reading and doing research keep it up youll get there. I'm still no where near as good as i want to be. But i have a good feeling if i surround my self with people like the ones on this form it wont take more than a few years before i can rebuild my own engines and so on.
