I want to have everyone post their experiences in running / routing and connecting up a new harness from a Standalone.

- How did you plan out the routing?

- How did you run the wires?

- Any tips for tucking the wires out of sight?

- What materials (zip ties, lacing cord, harness wrap, shrink wrap, etc...)did you have luck with?

- What materials were poor?

- What stands up to the heat and what does not?

- Good retailers for materials, injector connectors, weatherpack connectors?

- What is a good place to mount the ECU, what is a Bad place?

So, post here for all your tips and tricks.

Thanks,

-a

it depends on what you're after. on my 3 rotor i basically made a harness that looked acted and felt like a stock harness, except it didnt have the solenoid connectors. it even plugged in under the dash, and used all the factory clips/retainers/brackets to hold it in.

paul used the heater hose holes in the firewall for his yellow car, the harness was almost hidden, i'm thinking next one i build might be hidden like that too.

tips:

wire up the harness and route it, but dont wrap it up right away, put some miles on the car, make sure it works then wrap it up. also dont go too crazy wrapping it, you may want to add/change stuff later.

banzai wrap! is great stuff, i try to minimize the use of electircal tape cause it makes a giant mess later, if you change something
