1) Call Russ at Electromotive. He used to work for PFS & owns an RX-7. Knows the cars and the tec. Extremely helpful. I saw him spend a lot of time at ATCO with a customer who needed technical advice on installing a tec.

2) Ray Wilson at PFS tunes the hell out of RX-7s and runs the tec 3 on his 9 sec. car.

3) 13bace probably has the wrong Ray. You won't find anybody more helpful or pleasant than Ray Wilson at PFS. Even if he had the right one, it would not change the fact that he knows how to solve your problem, but odds are 13bace has the wrong "dick".

i don't think it does autotune. i think it does autosetup so you can atleast get the car to start and run, etc, without a base map. the AEM has an autotune. unless i'm mistaken ....

The TEC II had a feature where you plug in your A/F ratios and it does the rest.

I have his address and phone number. So I'm pretty sure it's the same guy. He lives in MD and works at PFS. I'm sure that he knows his stuff, but he wasn't good to do business with.

I like to read instruction manuals, but that's probably not normal.

Ray(PFS) is a good guy. Ive talked to him quite a few times, and he was very helpful. We even went out to his house one night and had some adult beverages and talked about cars for hours. He is a cool guy. I'm sure that he would help out in any way he can.

**** I even offered that when he traps at 150mph we have a big *** party at my house.

that sounds good guys. hey vosko, you still want to sell that tec III? you said that it was for a 20b, but shouldn't it be good for a good ol 13b as well. i mean doesn't it have different modes that it can be set up in?

also, you got yours from SRmotorsports right?

my reason for asking is.....when they say that it is a plug in application, HOW MUCH OF A PLUG IN IS IT? i mean, it can not be as simple as a power fc or a piggie-back system now can it?

if you could elaborate on the installl a little, let me know..

there is no plug and play for a 20B application. you are correct the tec III can run a 20B or 13B. it has a unterminated harness i'll use j9fd3s installation quote " it's like installing three stereos in a car back to back" wiring wise. you just have to run all the wires. a haltech or any ems is the same. the tec III you will need a machine shop to install the timing wheel. any other questions let us know
