It "should" fire when the intake port opens, but this can be fudge be adjustment on the fuel maps. If you fire them a little off, running a little more fuel will just let the fuel sit there before the intake port opens - you really don't notice anything weird except a very slight drop in mileage (we're talking like 1mpg).

Hitman has mentioned messing around with injector phasing does not adversely affect engine performance, unlike sequential injection on a piston engine - this is probably due to the primary fuel injectors being mounted very close to the intake port.

So basically the E6X is as good or better than stock with the exception of limited auxilary control, and the E11 is just gravy if you have $600 extra to spend?

Makes sense... maybe in the next version of the E6 they'll add true sequential injection for the rotary. Who knows. Hopefully the connector remains the same and I could just plug-n-play the upgrade.

I dunno what kickyride is gonna do they haven't gotten back to me yet... I proposed they offer some free tuning or something but I don't know what they'll come back with. $250 is a big split though, but that counts taxes against them which isn't fair but I have to pay them so my wallet has the final say, ya know.

Also look up Charlie at Mazdacare in Marrieta (SP?). He has a 360 RWHP FC that has been at that tune for over 5 years and running strong. He helped me a lot with setting up my Motec. He runs a Motec himself but I believe he has Haltech experiance and access to a dyno. He has also spent time with Matt (Hitman) on the dyno tuning.

Charlie is the ****... that man rules. Although I've never ended up with service from him personally he's handled a number of my phone calls and has sent me to the right places (e.g. Robinson Racing for suspension setup and such) and its funny but I always thought of him as more of a stock-type guy but you know it makes total sense.

However kickyride has given me a confidential partial sponsorship offer which I'm taking into consideration at this time. I *will* certainly contact Charlie before I do anything though. Thanks for bringing him up. I did not know he had that type of HP going on in his vehicle. MOTEC huh.... damn wish I had $4k to drop on engine management.

Tell Charlie Jims5543 with the FD engine swap in the FC and the Motec says hello. I have E-mailed him a couple of times with no reponse. Just wanted to say hello.

Charlie is good friends with Cameron the owner of Pettit Racing.

Thanks for the recommendation. I now have more than one option when it comes to ECU tuning.
