Ok guys, I'm a bit concerned about sequential injection... the Haltech does NOT do it... and the Microtech LT8s does. However the Haltech has more PWM outputs which I would find useful for my vehicle and I've heard from several people that the Haltech is the "better" unit. So... what gives about this sequential injection thing? Is it just not important, or does it make a significant difference that you lose with the Haltech? Is it worth the price difference to get the E11 if I can afford it?



I'm concerned that one of my rotors will not recieve the fuel it needs due to that rotor not being the proper amount of crank degrees out of injection phase compared to the other ... but maybe that's not how it works in practice??? Please let me know... thanks!

it turns out over about 3000rpms it doesnt really matter, theres not enough time over 3k. it does make the car run smoother in the low end though

Umm... not on a rotary... per Haltech's own support email:




The E6X is a budget unit that only has 5 outputs, if

you want a unit to do sequential injection with full direct fire ignition

then the E11v2 is a unit that will achieve this purpose. As an aside the

E6X cannot do sequential injection without wasted spark on a four

cylinder, when using sequential injection you must use wasted spark

ignition. On a rotary engine full sequential injection is actually not

greatly important to the running of the engine, in fact once you are on

more than around 15% throttle there is next to no difference at all, at

full throttle and max power there is no difference.

j9fd3s :: how "unsmooth" *does* it run at idle? Is it something for which you'd consider other alternatives to a haltech for next time you bought one of these?

the e6k/x's idle like stock but the e11 is better

I would assume its not worth the price differential for the E11 on a 2-rotor '7, am I correct?

Its not.

Anybody have experience with kickyride.com? I'm leaning towards giving them my business (they are like an hour or less from my house) since they are local but I'm going to have to work with them a little on price since they are a bit more expensive plus I have tax on top of that to worry about. If I can't make it work financially then I just can't and I'll have to go with K2RD on the price issue so that I can afford a solid local dyno tune.

I've got extensive experience with the E6K and E11V1's on both 13B's and 20B's.



Sequential gets you better low low engine performance and efficiency.

When it comes to WOT, you will not feel any difference.



Yes, idle is smoother.



If you've never heard or felt a non-sequential fuel injection 13B (i.e. E6K or E6X), you wouldn't think anything is wrong at idle.

Once you hear full sequential on a 13B, you notice the smoother idle immediately (i.e. E11V2).



You do not need the E11V2 to run a 13B, and an E6X does an admirable job with the 13B.

What an E11V2 does is gets you extra outputs for more control over auxiliaries.

The E11V2 gets you a full 3D ignition timing map.

The E11V2 gets you better resolution and more flexibility (ability to move RPM points to where ever in the RPM band you want) on both fuel injection and ignition timing.

Auxiliary fuel function like Throttle Pump are way more flexible, as there are 4 parameters which can be adjusted, and it's a full 2D map.

Currently only the E11 can do air and water temp (and I think boost now) sensor remapping, so theoretically, you can run almost any set of sensors (you can run stock ones if you want) you want on the engine.

That's the ones I can think of off the top of my head right now.

So when should an injector fire on a sequential system (for a normal street port)? At intake opening? Does optimum injector timing vary significantly depending on specifics of the porting (still assuming a street port)?
