hey i'm looking around at where to get a PFC from (looking into the future lol)

I was considering abtivan.com since it's only $1049 for commander and PFC but rxplicit told me they probably arent authorized.

so i'm back to sr motorsports or jt-imports.

JT's now get tuned by some Japanese tuner, i forgot who, and sitll sells Commander and PFC for $1250.

SRMotorsports sells cmdr & PFC & tshirt & tuning for $1350.

Basically i was wondering who you guys would go with, i know some of you may not wanna say because they're both sponsors. So here's how im thinking.

Right now it's 90% that i'll go with JT, so i came here to find out, is SR Motorsports tuning very good tuning or just average kind of tuning?

also are pre-tuned pfc's good in general or dangerous to use?

thanks for your help guys, oh and also there's ony one place to get a dataloggit right?

I say that a PFC is a PFC and it really does not matter where you buy it at. I would stay away from "pre-tuned" PFC's It kinda defeats the purpose in my mind You could just go buy a used ROM tuned ECU and slap it in your car and do it for less money. If you are not gonna tune your car then why even bother with a commander and all that, just doesn't make sense. Another down side is that if someone "tunes" it for you and they use the Power Excel software then you cannot see the changes they made with only the commander and therefore have no basis to start tuning with.

You mentioned buying Datalogit as well........If you are gonna get that then why would you want someone else changing the settings in your PFC......it only creates confusion. Get a PFC that has not been tuned, plug it in your car and start doing on your own and learning or at least have the computer in the car when its tuned so it will be accurate.

You can buy a new set for around that price or maybe cheaper if you look.

Or try the for sale section. Nothing wrong with buying used.
