Power FC on JDM engine
#1
I purchased a 93 rx7 last october and the PFC was already installed in the car. I never got to drive the car cause the engine was blown when I bought it. Since I knew very little at the time about the PFC I started reading up on it and found that on the american rx7 you have to cut or remove the 4 wires from your harness or clip the pins on the ECU. I didnt learn this until after the engine was removed and never bothered to look cause the harness was completly ruined and needed replaced. So just a couple weeks ago a purchased an entire front clip of a 95 JDM rx7, which was pretty much a half a car, even had the steering wheel on the right side and iam now ready to install it, but first i need to know since this car came from Japan do I have to mess with the 4 wires or can i just leave them alone ? any help would greatly be appreciated, Thanks -Sam

Here in the UK we have the same loom at JDM, and do not need to cut/remove any wires for the PFC to work properly.
