I have an early version of the datalogit software. I have trouble with the software detecting the connection to the ecu sometimes...like the software must be scanning for it and then the ecu can be turned on...my battery in my laptop sucks and I got a power inverter to run it off of for some runs, but the only way to get it to connect to the ecu is to have the software up and then turn the car on. I know the newer versions of the datalogit dont have this problem. can I update my software or do I have to buy it again?

Thanks,

Sean
