i am still in the market for an ecu upgrade, and the choices that i have right now are the haltech and the power fc. my concern was this.....since the coming of the datalogit software, is the power fc more flwxable as far as the tuning parameters are concerned? i really can not afford the time or $ to have a $1,000 / 1 week install of a haltech in texas. i was wondering what the draw backs of running the 2 were, and is the Power FC REALLY so bad as far as tuning is concerned? and is it almost as capable as the haltech as far as the indepthness of the tuning is concerned? it seems that more and more of these single turbo guys are using the pfc on single set ups, and i might as well....

thanks,

lou

The pfc with the datalog kit is pretty good from what i've heard. Though i'd still go with the haltech since there is a larger group of online help with fuel maps and such. Back when i had the pfc there was no datalog kit so it was pretty much worthless to me, I switched to haltech and couldn't be happier. Very easy to tune and diagnose fuel and timing issues among several other maps.

The power FC kicks *** with the datalogit... you can tune the car to handle more hp than the engine could ever hold.. You can also fine tune it for temp changes, diagnose all sensors and switchs in the car etc.. With the boost kit it can even correct fuel and boost changes by altitude as well... I think it is actually better than the haltec for a car that will be driven every day on the streets, especially if your planning on keeping all the stock a/c etc systems in the car...

My hero. That's all I need for an ECU decision. I don't plan to go single and I wanna keep everything in the car INTACT. Thanks bro, Ziptie all Communists.

I'm in the dataogit group. you have to acutally buy one then get glen or steve to add you to the list or you can't get in... go to their page and drop them a e-mail and see what they can do for you..
