So heres the thing, I know nothing about ecu's yet and i want to get one so i can control all my own stuff what should i look at getting besides a safc.

I was looking at haltech and motec and idk what to look for.

I want to be able to play with the fuel curves and timing mostly.

So something simple would b a plus. Thanks for all ur help.

I asked pretty much the same question several years ago. The consensus at that time appeared to be in favor of Haltech. I got lots of useful information from the Hitman's site: http://www.hitman.hm/13BHints.htm

I ended up with a Haltech E6X and did the install and tuning myself. The tune still isn't perfect, but it starts and drives fine.

I think the latest issue of Grassroots Motorsports mag has an article on putting a Megasquirt system on a 12A. Haven't read it yet. I know the Megasquirt is a cheaper option if you build your own.
