All you guys running standalones, do you use an idle control valve (stock or GM) or just have a block plate? I'm running a GM IAC but due to the fact that its positioned directly above the turbine housing, i get it sticking open more often than not leaving me idling at 2k or above. Up till now i've managed to wind it all the way closed and simply pull the plug, but i had to prop the TB open quite a bit to get it to idle correctly at about 1000 or so. This is a temp fix, should i construct and heatshield and rewire the sensor with some sort of thermal barrier, or make a block off plate and tune the idle without an IAC? thanks

on the 20b i initially just set it at 1000rpms with the throttle. when i put the e11 on i figured since the ecu is fancy i'd be fancy and use the bac valve, so 4 months later the bac valve is not hooked up and the idle is manually set to 900ish
