I've had great results with the HKS boost control until recently when it started not to pick up the leaning mode runs..I can fix that . But why do the instructions say make runs in third gear when most dynos are done in 4th gear? What are the thoughts behind not using the 1:1 gear for boost learn mode. This is a TO4 single.

I thought of this a while back then I saw the gear/dyno question in the dyno thread.

i guess cuz they assume that most people will be doing it on the street and doing a 3rd gear pull keeps the speeds in a more "sane" range.
