i have an 88 t2 running an e6x and i am useing v1.26 halwin.

my pressure readings are off, sometimes it will read boost when i first connect the haltech and it will say 1.1 kpa even with the engine running. if i go offline and then back on it will read right.

my coolant temp reads wrong, when i am at 100 deg C and i swhich over to F it will read arround 240 deg.

Can't help you with the MAP sensor problem, but the coolant temp issue I have as well.

It is the crappy, buggy POS Halwin software. The temperature calibration is incorrect. It works fine when the car is just warming up, but the hotter the coolant gets, the more the readings go out of whack. It only works right in metric mode.

My friend nik and I have found quite a few bugs, most noticeable was that correction maps not working in Halwin 1.23. We all use DOS when the car is running....*sigh*

yes it does seem to be more accurate on metric

as far as tuning goes does the ecu get the right sensor values or does the ecu get screwed up readings as well.

i have a dyno session soon and i dont know what i should do.

one other question in my trail split map during boost i have it set to about 8 deg.

when i drive the car and start boosting on my laptop it will say i am running at a negative split. about 6 or 7 deg neg. is that normal or are my trailing plugs realy firing before my leading. i have increased my slpit map to 20 deg and it still says i am running at a neg split.

hopfuly the ecu knows what is going on thanks

what is the advantage to running DOS

I haven't played with HalwinX in a while, but are you sure the Data Page shows split? (My car is in storage, so I can't check either).

From what I recall, it shows L timing and T timing. It is totally possible for you to have negative T timing. For example, 15 degree L timing, with a 20 degree split, would give you -5 T timing.

It is impossible for you to have negative split with the haltech. The best you can do is 0.

*Edit*Ok, I just checked the manual. It seems that the data page does show Trial Split. I think that it is just another bug in the program, and what it calls trail split, is really just the overall T timing.

Try the DOS software and see what it says. It works right in both imperial and metric.
