when i redline (7000k) my engine pops a few times, and the rpms drop down to about 6k, what might this be? something the haltech is doing? just a miss fire?

 

A datalog would probably help. Make sure there is no crazy problem in the map. Also, if your O2 is hooked up see what the A/F is doing at that point.

what do you have the rpm limit set to in the haltech? maybe it's just doing ignition cut for rev limiting...
