It was 1600 for the M4 unit after you added all the goodies wiring harness etc. the final bill was 1900.

I called on Friday ordered it on the phone and had it in my hands on Tues. the next week.

So someone else has done this huh? I would like to see some pics of your friends setup.

BTW - This cradle is for sale as soon as I know a price I will tell you. He made a templet so he can make more.
I would be interested if the price wasn't too bad. I was planning to have somebody make something similar for me the next time I go back to NY, but if I can get one right away even better.

What don't you like about it? The coils for the TEC III aren't ugly.

well theres a bunch of little things, like it uses dos still, it only has one load input vs the s4 ecus 2, etc etc.

its good, especially for the money but i dont see where the furvor comes from. and the tec coils are ugly

Ahh, everyone on this forum is too caught up with form over function. What works wins. Those damn coils will start a FLOODED motor.

i know they work, but i wish they had a more flexable mounting, and the plug wires always endup looking crappy too

Do you mean separating the coils instead of having all of them on one unit? IT takes some time to do the plug wires nicely, but it's not so bad.

That sounds like alot up front, but you need to deduct 5 hours @$150/hr = $750 -> net total = $1150 which is the same as the Power FC. Doesn't XS charge $150/hr for tuning the Apexi? The only thing I don't like is it doesn't control the metering pump, so what if I forgot or don't have access to premix. Is this correct or just the Haltech that doesn't? What can't it do?

You cannot compare the power FC to the M-4. The power FC is good dont get me wrong and man is it easy to install it just doesn't have as many features as the M-4. Doesn't it only control ignition timing and Fuel maps?

I stand corrected on the price too. As I started to install it today I realized I needed another $150 in sensors. So the total is just a bit over 2K.

I am having a difficult time getting someone to dyno it. I might get a RX-7 guy in West Palm at Japtrix to do it. He has never done a Motec but has done a lot of Haltechs and I have been told the hardest part of tuning it is knowing what you want from the car. So I will probably get him to do it. Motec offered to fly a dude in for $500. I might do that. He will actually show me how to use my M-4.

I am working on the OMP. I found an attachment so you can feed to OMP 2 cycle oil instead of motor oil.

Here is the website.

http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_injector...mp_adaptors.htm

I just need to know what kind of signal the OMP is looking for and then I can get a Motec rep to write me a routine to run it. For now I am going to run premix but I still have the OMP on it for when I sort this out.

the omp is a simple stepper motor, and it has a circuit to check and make sure its actually working
