yah, getting it to run at wot and idle is easy, its everything between thats the trick

are you just trying to get used to it now, and tune it after you are used to it? you already know how to fine tune everything? all the corection maps...but are just not doing it?

Good thanks man. How long did it take you guys to install it and then tune it?

Is E6K the best one to get for the 3rd gen? I heard that a better one is going to come out some time soon.

i haven't driven the car in a month and it has no first gear. also judge ito told me NO MORE TUNING!! except vacuum tuning!! so i'll listen to him LOL!



it's hard to tune my car when i need to rev out 4th gear which is about double the speedlimit...... i already got one ticket in a slow car don't need to get another ticket and lose my license......... i'm just gonna wait to tune it on the dyno again. makes life so much easier not worrying about hitting other cars and getting tickets etc..........

yeah i like dyno tuning, its easy and you can get it like 90% really fast

Where do you guys think i should buy it from. And you guys recommend the E6K right?

if you paid more than $350 for the laptop, you paid to much. i use a POS IBM 760XD that i picked up for $125.

have no experience with them, but from what i know, it will not work with a compaq. also make sure you have a working 9 pin serial port. has to be addressed as COM1 or COM2. (this is not a big deal in buying it...can always change it)

basically any OLD laptop will work with the haltech software. it doesn't even need a hard drive. i can give you a boot disk image for it that will work with the e6k :bigthumg:

um the e11 is only 1500 and its got a lot more nice stuff on it, you could run the metering pump, sequential injection. you need to pick a place to buy the haltech that you can call, or go see when you have questions, the way its supposed to work is that the guy who sold you the haltech is supposed to help you with support. you also need to make sure that you get the whole kit, the e6k is supposed to include the e6k, flying lead, the air and coolant temp sensors, manual. someplaces throw in connectors, some places leave out the sensors etc, so you need to make sure that you are getting what you pay for.
