Fan Relay Trigger Wire Question
#1
wasn't sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes anyway.
i have put a 13b-rew engine from an fd into my fc t2. i have joined the two looms, wire harness together and the car runs so im quite happy.
the question is what wire from the ecu triggers the fan relay? i think it is pin 3d and at 100c that pin goes live but only gives .5v. this isnt enough to flick the relay. any ideas?????????????

maybe you could try to run an IC opamp as a prerelay relay? That make any sense? it kinda does in my head, i think.
sounds interesting but complicated. i could just put a thermo switch on the top hose that will switch on the fan but i thought it would be nice to run it like it was in the fd. its an apexi pfc ecu and from what i had been told, the temp for the fans to come on can be set with a data loggit. i was sure that i had the correct pin but as it isnt high enough volts i may have been wrong.
do you think a different relay might do it?
