I need some info on it. I'm in immediate need of an ecu, and can't decide between the haltech and the wolf 3d.

While I know the haltech has plenty of support, I feel (after downloading both ecu's pc software) that the wolf would be easier to program if i were to do it myself.

I was looking at one of Jims5543's pulls with his motec m4. And the wolf3d setup is very comparable to the motec. At least as far as data input is concerned. It also has a couple features that makes you think that a rotary was at the forefront when they were designing the wolf.

Any maps of the haltech e6k and or wolf 3d version 4./\ would be greatly appreciated. As well as any experience that you guys have had, that would help me make an educated decision.

Links are great too!!

FYI I did try to search, but I seem to find a lot of info but none pertaining to my situation.

I don't see why?? Seems like a very thorough setup. I might venture to the evil forum and do some searching.

I dont have a wolf either.

Pettit uses and knows the Wolf system very well.

MD - As much as I hate to say it. It looks like the Haltech might be the way to go.

I am not bashing it here guys but it is very archaic. Its layout leaves a lot to be desired. Makes me even happier with my Motec decision. I know it cost more but the tuning software is amazing.

Then again I am learning my Motec myself and any map can be transfered to a wolf system. Why do you think I have been looking at Haltech maps? I can easily use that info and enter it into my Motec.

I say go Wolf and be different.

say....I happen to have a wolf 3d 3.0. I've been using it in my FD for about 3 years. Well I've upgraded to a 20b motor, so I'll need a new computer. I am going to post the wolf 3d in the classified section this weekend (when I get the pics back), and among other things. If you're interested, PM me.

I might be interested depending on the price. From some of the info I've dug up, It sounds like the only problems people were having were remedyed with the 4.0. As well as 20b support, and much better software.

After a couple days of research I'm still liking the wolf 3d. Just seems easier to get around. And a more modern setup than the e6k. I'd say it's more comerable to the e11. Plus it's shiny and colorfull
