Yeah, i kinda noticed that. Ive been going to race tracks since i was like 6. My dad used to sand drag a baja bug back in PR. So, ive seen how the tree works for a while, so i thought i had the hang of it. Wrong. Its completely different when you watch someone else do it.
Some guy told me to rev on the 1st yellow, to like 3k, the let go of the gas and immediately rev up to like 6k. By the time i do this the last yellow would be on, and just dump the clutch. havent tried it. cause i need the car to get back home, and go to work, etc...
Deep stage?? Whats that??
Thanx

Damn, your 1/4 mile times got worse and worse. I can't wait to get my tranny fixed so I can see what kind of times I can do. Your RTs look like mine did last time I took my car racing, except mine were under 1.00.

here is how i launch with the GTU. big smokey pro drag burnout in waterbox(gets street tires *gummy* ask silver93tt) then stage when i stage i hold the gas at about 7000-7500 rpm. once the third yellow hits i drop the clutch. my best RT was .516 i think only..... launching you will see your biggest improvement. my 60ft's also dropped from 2.5 to 2.2 not bad for crappy street tires just gotta keep praciticing

I got a question for all you drag racers.
Last time I went to the drags at Cecil Co. , I had the car sideways quite a bit. More than when I'm on the street. Then I strated to think about how I did my burnout in the waterbox. Do you guys drive through the box or go around it and back into it? I think I was pulling water out on my front tires and leaving wet tracks for the rears to run in (No one told me how to do it.). It just now dawned on me that this may have been my problem. Am I right?

Ya know...I never thought of that. That's a really logical question. I always went through it. Its a waste on street tires though...it won't "gum" up a street tire..the compound is too hard. It only helps on drag radials and a few Z rated tires.
Vosko..you launched at 7K+..are you mad? LOL! I launched at 5K in my NA...my best RT has been .65 which was my first time ever...go figure.
