About the response times,,, I let go of the clutch a milli second after I see the last yellow light goes on. This has worked for me, my best response time was .309 However, my best quarter mile time has been a 16.7 in the fall. I'll be back in 2 or 3 weeks though, and we'll see my time after the mods I've done. Oh, by the way I have a 1980 gs.

I've just been informed that I couldn't have gotten a 3.09 response time. I have the slips at home, I will check them out tonight. :dontgetit:

I'm not sure how burning out with street tires helps your traction but more power to you. From my own experience, I've always gotten actually better 60' times by avoiding the burnout box when racing on street tires. Slicks are a whole different story. You may want to try just a small burnout (to get the stones and crap off) and launch at around 5K with some clutch slip to limit your wheel spin....you need to feel the tires hooking up......just offering my experience.......... and keep in mind that reaction time has nothing to do with you actual ET (so don't rush it if your trying for a good ET). Your R/T is important in winning a race and critical in bracket racing but the timer doesn't start until you cross the line.
