i have an 85 gsl and it hit the dyno with 105 hp (stock) before i played around with it

the last time i dynoed it it was 150 with an exhuast leak and only running off 2 barrels

on the carb( dur my bad) well i fixed the exhuast leak and the carb problem an it feals like

an extra 20 horses almost just when i stomp on it, but the clutch is sliping so bad when i stomp

on it the rpms just go up

so how much do you think you got from the header just by itself?

(is 142.39 before the header and 153.9 after?)

142 was with bad 6 ports, they werent really opening all the way. problem is i added teh header and teh port at the same time and i cleaned allteh corbbon off the 6 ports so its all at once, BUT i belive i am really only makign about 5more whp with the port. then if i had no port and the same setup. the reason for that is i reayl belive that the stock AFM and the stock intake manifolds are way too restrictive/and too long to flow the air at the top end. i will be making a new intake manifold to accompany teh portign i have done. and i shoudl see major noticeble gains , oh and also i wll try to connvert the stock afm to a map sensor type instead, all this will eb done using the stock fuel system and stock ecu with just the afc to tuen it all with. i shoudl ahve all this done in about a month

Really good numbers. You could lean it a little more. Now you have the answer to your question. Your peak power with your mods is at 7,300 RPM, when you drag race just shift at 8,300 to compensate for the rpm drop and you could still be at your power range. I think we need to get all this broken Rx7's fixed and have a Dyno Day... Congrats Kahren

Is this an s4 engine or s5? Sounds like you have an s4 engine with an s5 intake. Which injectors are you using?
