415rwhp @ 10psi
459RWHP @ 15psi i still have stock plugs 7's an 9's so when i change to race plugs my charts should be alot smoother. i didn't touch my fuel maps i played with my boost controller ALOT! will scan the three charts tonight after work |
are you getting stable boost now?
mike |
shouldn't you be getting more at 15lbs?
luigi |
its stable but it could be MORE stable. it has slight fluctuations which messes up the curve. i might just turn off the boost controller and see how steady the boost is off just the spring

This is not my highest pull but it was the last one of the day. The dyno operator loved so much, he made a copy for himself.
According to the haltech datalog, I was pushing 12psi. C |
yeah that's a keeper

Nice work fellas. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Nice numbers Vosko. Why not a 20 psi dyno? Also, was that corrected hp? Don't worry, I'll catch up to you soon. I was supposed to start working on my motor this week but the weather has been real shitty.
|
good numbers guys....i'd like to see vosko's sheets....unless i missed them somewhere....
lou |
i was running 94 octane sunoco. they have leader VP racing C23 there..... i will save that for another time.... when i dyno 20psi and 25psi. the charts aren't posted yet. i will scan them when i got home from work after 9pm EST
|
Awsome numbers, I have never seen a t-78 dyno that high at 15psi. Are you gona post the dyno sheets or what??
|
i am at work.... i dyno'd before i went to work. came home for 5 mins to switch cars and take the blazer to work. it is flurrying right now
|
oh yeah be warned my dyno charts aren't pretty .... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

Hey Vosko, how is your current haltech map? Did you ever change the timing from the map you posted in the haltech section?
|
nope i am using that map
|
Well you are taking your chances running 20 degrees at that boost. I can see maybe 16 or 17 degrees, but 20 in peak torque is very dangerous.
|
its on my todo list. the car hasn't blownup yet and it makes great power https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
|
wow...great numbers guys! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
|
MY EARS STILL HURT!!!!
junior Bmtranny |
What kind of motor do you have again Vosko? ITO Port? I am about to install my BNR Race Port motor next week, I hope my T78 can put down numbers like that. I am hoping for 470rwhp at 17psi. Nice numbers by the way.
Scott |
thanks junior.
junior was at the dyno he is awesome https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
off topic, but i now know where that funny guy in your sig came from.....sorry if i am too late on that....
the hoslap.net site is pretty funny...."i gave you most of the money" lou |
I don't think the guys at BMtranny were ready for the rumble from the ito spec engine. I know they will not be able to hear well for a few days https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

yup its loud. i'm organize a dyno day soon! again thanks to junior!
i have video but i still have to edit it and upload it.... later on tonight i'll do it. for now here is the sheets. oh yeah 10psi then 15psi then 15psi again after i played with boost controller and made it worse lol http://www.vosko.net/photos/dyno/dyno022603/dyno1.jpg http://www.vosko.net/photos/dyno/dyno022603/dyno2.jpg http://www.vosko.net/photos/dyno/dyno022603/dyno3.jpg |
Damn they are pretty bad. If you straightened the boost out you could probably pull a few more down without changing the tuning at all https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png
|
You are having break up where your peak torque and horsepower cross. This is why its very important you lower your timing there, after that point you will notice it smooths out, though its still a little jagged but nothing seroius. Boost fluctuating up and down will cause minor changes in the smoothness of the dyno sheet, but some of that looks to be a little more than just boost.
