Went to the track for the very first time friday nite....car is not 100%, didn't lower tire pressure or anything just drove there and rite onto the track. Because of time i was only able to get 2 runs in, my best of the 2 was 14.6@95mph, and that was with a .671 rt and miss shifting...went from 2nd -5th.... . I figured if i had on stock wheels and not 18s and actually know how to shift properly i would have hit 13s. OH well maybe next time.

nice time! i was at the track 2 days after i bought my 3rd gen. i got there late and only had time for one test run and pulled a horrible time at 14.7. then the bracket racing started (hate it). my next run i owned. i dialed in at a 14.4 to be safe and caught the guy like half way down the track. my 1/8 mile speed was 79 and i finished with a 14.8 80. the next run i boged down off the line and had horrible spin in second and ran a 14.5, but what gives me hope is that the previous run i was .6 seconds faster at the 1/8 mile, so i thinks with practive i might hit really low 14's or really high 13's i hope.

well this is kinda a sad story i have an 85 gsl witch i have played with alot and was wanting to tack it to the track so bad,

well i got the oppertunity last friday it was drag nite so there were alot of people and i had a 2 hour wait till i was up, well being

stupid i whent to heat my tires and didn't have it in gear and the rpm's hit about 8200 after i got it into gear i sun for a good 5 seconds before i let off and whent to stage well as i get up to the light one of the track dudes taps on my window and says "your done", i thought i was in trouble so i asked why he said "your broke" what you got to be kidding me i get out and look behind me and i had left a trail of antifreeze the size of the nile. well after getting my car off the track i got under the hood and all i did was just split a hose, and after looking at it close i discoverd the hose was completely soaked with oil.

well after fixing all my faulty hoses i took my car home.

just a question? what do you think an 12a pushing about 160 to 170 horses would run on the 1/4 mile????

How did you manage to mis shift from 2nd to 5th? Sounds like you just need to calm down and stop worrying about the car in the other lane...
