Alright

So far this is what me and Martin planned out.

Everybody take the Monday off, or leave rotorfest a little early to make it back to Canada for a later bedtime before work.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

I will be taking the monday off.

We will leave Saturday in the early AM, around 7-8am. We will organize this through CHECKPOINTS if there is enough interest. Although I'm sure it's probably just gonna be Me, Defprun, Mazdabation, and maybe a few others.

Nevertheless, whomever is interested, we will start checkpoints (pit stops and pickup points) on the way to NIAGARA REGION.

I am in Southwest in between London and Hamilton, but whatever. Dave will be ready to rock and roll near the border. We will make as many stops as necessary to add more RX7s to the group on our trek to the border. I would like to see owners from as far as Windsor coming out, but I don't know.. Now is the time to spark interest!

We hit the border, do customs bullshit, the key here is WE WILL WAIT UNTIL WE ARE A GROUP AGAIN BEFORE TAKING OFF. NOBODY IS TO GO AHEAD WITHOUT ANYONE. I don't want anyone getting lost or whatever. NOBODY LEAVE THE BORDER WITHOUT A PACK OF RX7s. We will do a head count before and after the border.

You are all welcome to getting FRS radios, tuned to CHANNEL 7. Cheap radios and they keep us in touch, especially handy if someone get's lost, or somebody has a car problem, or really just has to take a piss.

I suggest you all bring neccessary supplies in case of break down. I'll have battery cables with me, possibly a spare battery but I'm not sure. Keep some oil and coolant with you, could come in handy. We will all stop in case of emergency.

After we are across the border, just follow the leader. Me and Dave have been down before, so we will probably have one of us at the front and one at the back. Nothing is worse then setting up a big fun cruise but then you lose people along the way. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png We will make a few stops as neccessary for food or bathroom. We will Probably make a quick potty/gas stop in Syracruse, and a food stop in Albany, or just south of Albany.

We can decide in this thread. Not sure how gas hungry you're RX7s are compared to ours, but we will all stop together within a decent distance so that you're not sitting on E as you are rolling up to the pumps.

Anyways when we get there, we will probably go straight to Martin's. Chill out, get some eats, maybe go over to some local hotels where other rotorheads are staying for a few beers.

Now Martin said he could probably accomodate 4 or possibly 5 of us Canadians. So there is an option. I'm staying at Martin's, Dave probably will too but I don't know if he wants to go ahead and get a hotel or something.

HOTEL THREAD in the ROTORFEST FORUM

We will get up and meet up together, then goto the Mall with Martin and Mike to meet with a much larger group of RX7s for a cruise to Rotorfest. Meet at the Mall for 9:45am, but we will all probably meet up beforehand since we don't know the area to the mall so well and follow Martin and Mike.

LOTS OF PICTURES AND VIDEO WILL BE TAKEN ON THE CRUISE FROM THE MALL TO ROTORFEST! MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS SHINY! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Show up for rotorfest around 11am, and there you have it!

If you play it out like Dave and myself, you would be staying Saturday night and Sunday night. Or if you want to leave rotorfest a little early, you could be back in Canada for the late evening so you don't have to take the Monday off.

Any input or ideas is apprecited, please post. Here is what we can use as a base. Now is the time to start getting a rough draft of a plan laid out. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

ROTORFEST 2004 IS GONNA BE AWESOME.

ColinRX7 04-28-2004 01:56 AM

You BETTER come with us!

75 Repu 04-28-2004 02:02 AM

Hide the good silverware..!

Mazdabation 04-30-2004 09:10 AM

Ok I really need to know who is doing what. I know some peeps are staying at friends homes. Who all is going...just the three of us? I do have a couple friends i have to speak with about going so that may change!?!?! If you two are staying at Martins house then i have to find a hotel. The thing is I cant pick one untill i find out which one other members are going to be staying at.

ColinRX7 05-01-2004 11:03 AM

We will guide you to a hotel where other people are staying at. We won't lose you man don't worry. LOL.

Another rotorhead is gonna ride with me, and crash at Martin's. And Dave is gonna stay at Martin's too I'm sure. If it's not cool with Martin or if no space then we will get a hotel as well.

But part of the plan when we get there is to get people setup for the night(s) we will be there. We're not just gonna show up and be like "every man for himself". No worries man.

We will try to get you at a hotel with the biggest group of rotorheads, but it might be full - this is a big event. Maybe try to work something out in the hotel thread beforehand, if not, then we will be calling around to places for you to try and get something setup. Martin knows the area so he will be able to show us around to different places. Not just for you but for everyone who hasn't worked out somewhere to sleep beforehand. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Mazdabation 05-01-2004 12:11 PM

Everything you have just said is a given already...i know of this. Thats why i been busting balls trying to find out where peeps are staying. I want to book now so when time comes i have a place, and am not going around trying to find one cause they are all booked.

defprun 05-03-2004 07:59 PM

FikseRxSeven 05-03-2004 08:02 PM

ColinRX7 05-03-2004 08:03 PM

Okay Rob mentioned leaving Friday instead of saturday. What do you guys think!

I thought Sat is better because less days you have to take off work...

But we might be tired from driving and pre-partied-out for saturday night wobbly pops.

ColinRX7 05-03-2004 08:04 PM

Eww - I'd rather cuddle with a zitfaced 20 something.

No wait.

FikseRxSeven 05-03-2004 08:05 PM

so who's on the caravan list so far?

ColinRX7 05-03-2004 08:09 PM

Me Dave and Dave for shizzle.

I said Dave with the protege could ride with me to save gas, but he wants to drive his protege.

Kevin and Joe they want to come but they aren't sure yet. They better come or else.

Mazdabation seems worried! He better come too!

We still need more though. Last time it was just me and Dave in the jetta. BAH!

ColinRX7 05-03-2004 08:11 PM

The other Dave reassures me the RX7 will be finished. WONT IT, PRUNEY?! OR ELSE!

defprun 05-03-2004 08:17 PM

Ghetto but finished mangs.

Ghettooo queen fo rill.

Mazdabation 05-03-2004 10:46 PM

Shawn

ColinRX7 05-03-2004 11:12 PM

Well let's leave Friday then! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

FiKsE l2X SeVeN Jr 05-03-2004 11:16 PM

guys, who ever has passengers in their cars, bring a video camera.... i asked my friend to make some kind of video or compilation of the caravan....... the more videos there are, the more kick ass it will be.

nismo convert 05-04-2004 12:54 AM

right now we are 75/25 more in favour of going, we might take the truck down and tow my car on a trailer, we aren't sure yet.

well some one that actually knows directons better drive, because colin sucks with them. we just got home you fucker lol j/k we found some guys to talk to. took us an hour to get home from k/w.

I would'nt mind doing the same. I just dont know where to find a trailor....grrrrr

nismo convert 05-04-2004 01:16 AM

yeah breaking on the way down or there would really blow ass, sort of like Colin with directions. if he tells us where to go we would end up in Cali. or in my case hell

Mazdabation 05-04-2004 01:23 AM

Thats my main concern, breaking down!!! I wonder about renting a dolly from UHAUL?

nismo convert 05-04-2004 01:26 AM

i just wouldn't inform them you plan on leaving the country

ColinRX7 05-04-2004 07:24 AM

What the crap man!

What are you talking about bad with directions.. How the hell did you end up in KW going from HWY 24 to Simcoe Exit on the 403?! LOL

Don't worry about breaking down. Alot of us will have basic repair kits for tire, basic fluids, etc. Well at least I will.

nismo convert 05-04-2004 12:35 PM

the 403 would have taken us to london. we need to goto kw to get home,m so we made a detour

ColinRX7 05-04-2004 05:33 PM

Hah.. Well I didn't know you had to go through KW. Or else I would have shown you the way up there. LOL.

ColinRX7 05-06-2004 08:08 PM

ROTORFEST!!! YEAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

nismo convert 05-07-2004 01:28 AM

Yes Rotorfest.

Colin touching little boy's is just as illegal down there

ColinRX7 05-07-2004 07:23 AM

You're thinking of Martin..

Little boys little girls, same deal..

Cheers! 05-08-2004 07:43 PM

this is the 23rd right? i'll see about going, i get back into Canada from London on the 21st late evening.

Is the caravan going to be a poker run to rotorfest? (has anyone been to the ottawa meet, where they got from toronto to Ottawa in 1.5 hours going 190+ KPH?) lets not do that. THe last thing u want is a yankee ticket, it costs big bucks, your insurance company hates it even more then cdn tickets, and you have to pretty much take a week off of work to constantly return phone calls between you and the prosecutor. Yankee cops hate CDNS so keep that in mind.

I'm interested in going, has anyone planned out gas station stops? My car can do 450 Kms to 500 on a tank before fill up if we coast at 120, i say we coast. Gas is over a dollar fo the sunoco 94 fans.

Can i stay at your place Martin?

Mazdabation 05-08-2004 08:10 PM

This wont be a poker run to NJ as i too cant afford dumb ass speeding tickets because of trying to show off. The show is on the 27th but we will be most likely leaving on fri the 25th so we can enjoy more of a stay in NJ. Gas stops cant be planned really as peeps cars are differnt. We will just have to make stops as peeps are getting low and for piss relieving.

Cheers! 05-08-2004 08:27 PM

Mazdabation,

where are you from? i'm in mississauga now.

ColinRX7 05-09-2004 12:18 AM

Cheers definately NOT a poker run. Quick run but nothing ridiculously fast. Speed of traffic or maybe a hair faster. I'm looking for an enjoyable cruise down there, not get any tickets!!!

Mazdabation is right. 27th, probably gonna leave the Friday (25th) rather than the 26th in the morning.

I really want you to come man, so, you better work something out! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

ColinRX7 05-09-2004 12:19 AM

And yes I was at the Ottawa meet last year, I stuck with the people doing the poker run for all of 5 minutes, then I cruised at about 130-140 the rest of the way..

ColinRX7 05-09-2004 09:56 AM

I was between the slow group and the fast group! I was cruising with NOBODY! Well me and a red FD for about an hour then he wanted to "kick it up a notch" so I said "alright, cya".. I tried to slow down and wait for you guys but you were nowhere in sight on the flats of the 416 where you can see forever.

Richard come to rotorfest PLEASE! I'll ride with you and bring my brake caliper tools?! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

defprun 05-10-2004 06:09 PM
