Alright

So far this is what me and Martin planned out.

Everybody take the Monday off, or leave rotorfest a little early to make it back to Canada for a later bedtime before work..

I will be taking the monday off.

We will leave Saturday in the early AM, around 7-8am. We will organize this through CHECKPOINTS if there is enough interest. Although I'm sure it's probably just gonna be Me, Defprun, Mazdabation, and maybe a few others.

Nevertheless, whomever is interested, we will start checkpoints (pit stops and pickup points) on the way to NIAGARA REGION.

I am in Southwest in between London and Hamilton, but whatever. Dave will be ready to rock and roll near the border. We will make as many stops as necessary to add more RX7s to the group on our trek to the border. I would like to see owners from as far as Windsor coming out, but I don't know.. Now is the time to spark interest!

We hit the border, do customs bullshit, the key here is WE WILL WAIT UNTIL WE ARE A GROUP AGAIN BEFORE TAKING OFF. NOBODY IS TO GO AHEAD WITHOUT ANYONE. I don't want anyone getting lost or whatever. NOBODY LEAVE THE BORDER WITHOUT A PACK OF RX7s. We will do a head count before and after the border.

You are all welcome to getting FRS radios, tuned to CHANNEL 7. Cheap radios and they keep us in touch, especially handy if someone get's lost, or somebody has a car problem, or really just has to take a ****.

I suggest you all bring neccessary supplies in case of break down. I'll have battery cables with me, possibly a spare battery but I'm not sure. Keep some oil and coolant with you, could come in handy. We will all stop in case of emergency.

After we are across the border, just follow the leader. Me and Dave have been down before, so we will probably have one of us at the front and one at the back. Nothing is worse then setting up a big fun cruise but then you lose people along the way. We will make a few stops as neccessary for food or bathroom. We will Probably make a quick potty/gas stop in Syracruse, and a food stop in Albany, or just south of Albany.

We can decide in this thread. Not sure how gas hungry you're RX7s are compared to ours, but we will all stop together within a decent distance so that you're not sitting on E as you are rolling up to the pumps.

Anyways when we get there, we will probably go straight to Martin's. Chill out, get some eats, maybe go over to some local hotels where other rotorheads are staying for a few beers.

Now Martin said he could probably accomodate 4 or possibly 5 of us Canadians. So there is an option. I'm staying at Martin's, Dave probably will too but I don't know if he wants to go ahead and get a hotel or something.

HOTEL THREAD in the ROTORFEST FORUM

We will get up and meet up together, then goto the Mall with Martin and Mike to meet with a much larger group of RX7s for a cruise to Rotorfest. Meet at the Mall for 9:45am, but we will all probably meet up beforehand since we don't know the area to the mall so well and follow Martin and Mike.

LOTS OF PICTURES AND VIDEO WILL BE TAKEN ON THE CRUISE FROM THE MALL TO ROTORFEST! MAKE SURE YOUR CAR IS SHINY!

Show up for rotorfest around 11am, and there you have it!

If you play it out like Dave and myself, you would be staying Saturday night and Sunday night. Or if you want to leave rotorfest a little early, you could be back in Canada for the late evening so you don't have to take the Monday off.

Any input or ideas is apprecited, please post. Here is what we can use as a base. Now is the time to start getting a rough draft of a plan laid out.

ROTORFEST 2004 IS GONNA BE AWESOME.

Ok I really need to know who is doing what. I know some peeps are staying at friends homes. Who all is going...just the three of us? I do have a couple friends i have to speak with about going so that may change!?!?! If you two are staying at Martins house then i have to find a hotel. The thing is I cant pick one untill i find out which one other members are going to be staying at.

We will guide you to a hotel where other people are staying at. We won't lose you man don't worry. LOL.

Another rotorhead is gonna ride with me, and crash at Martin's. And Dave is gonna stay at Martin's too I'm sure. If it's not cool with Martin or if no space then we will get a hotel as well.

But part of the plan when we get there is to get people setup for the night(s) we will be there. We're not just gonna show up and be like "every man for himself". No worries man.

We will try to get you at a hotel with the biggest group of rotorheads, but it might be full - this is a big event. Maybe try to work something out in the hotel thread beforehand, if not, then we will be calling around to places for you to try and get something setup. Martin knows the area so he will be able to show us around to different places. Not just for you but for everyone who hasn't worked out somewhere to sleep beforehand.
