^^ Well bloody hell, might as well get a shell then and start from the ground up. O well it's pretty hard to find the RXs in general. I'll probably go for a car that has a reman already, super high miles one for super cheap or a low mile one. So I guess go for the extremes.

I have wanted an FD for along time now I've been watching and your right the prices fluxuate alot, but if your patient and don't settle you'll get what you want and find the deal that you need. I just bought a 94 white touring. The car has 94k on it, but it has a 97 spec Jap engine with 32k on it, it came with power fc computer, and some other upgrades. Its an original California car and I'm 3rd owner on it. I paid $14000 for it including plane ticket and all. Be patient, don't settle.

FYI, $15k is a very good cap. If you would get over how far you have to travel, you'd undoubtedly have an FD by now.

Seriously, it's worth it. This isn't an integra, its a car released 3 years with only 14,000 manuals ( i think ) made.

I live in NY and was trying to limit my search to the NE (From Maryland to Maine) and found one. If I found the right one, and it was in FL/Tx/SC/AL, etc...I would have went.

Your price range is fine and you're gaining some good knowledge from the forum, now you gotta travel bud! Good luck.

My budget was 15k too, and as far as the distance, I almost had one off of ebay in Virginia, and I live in Arizona. It was going to cost me $1500 just to ship the car on top of the price, but I wanted on so bad that I was willing, but the deal fell through. The only thing that I would warn you about is fraud. Be careful on ebay and the trader. While I was looking I came across 8 different fraudulent deals. 2 on ebay and the rest in the trader so be careful. Good luck

Once again I something I didn't want to hear, but def good to hear now.

That's what's been going through my mind for awhile now, if this guy really has what he says he has and if he's going to try to rip me off.

Man you found a pretty nice deal though...O well I mean what I found was pretty damn good, not that great compared to yours, but hey...o well lol.

I really wish I picked up a 95 with 40k miles though...that thing was nice, but a bit $$$.

BTW: This is all pure loaned money that's why traveling would be a bitch and I don't have that much time. However, I guess sacrifices need to be made to get what you want. Doesn't help that my job pays like **** with little hours. meh, like that saying goes where there's a will there's a way.

PS: Anyone got a carfax account that can run a vin check for me lol

Well my 2nd check of a FD and let down once again. Nice price, but my cousin noticed the block was leaking from who knows what, he thought throttle response was off, and he noticed the frame to be bent from some front impact.

O well one down....for those who have travelled, have you done a flight to airport to buy from a dealer? There are a few that are too far to drive to, but I can fly then rent a car to drive a bit of stretch...but man is that dumping cash or what....

if your plans will result in high hp... and the car to be purchased is in stock form...

need not be too overly concern of mileage as long as she checks out and the deals is good...

considering that failure parts will be replaced to achieve that hp anyway..

different ball game if the fd is modded to begin with.... lots of factors comes to play when makin that decision...

I really have no clue to HP, but I can say it will be stock for atleast a few years so it should be ok. It's a keeper so I can't say I'll never track it. ambassador_josh you're too far lol.

I've been thinking about this mint 94 auto for 13k with 50k miles on it. Good thing is price, year, color, it's freaking close to me, and mileage. Also it should have been driven a bit more conservative? I would have to worry that much about saving for a random coolent seal failure or apex seal being blown to bits. With money not being saved into engine I could save for a transmission swap. Since I can start early atleast I can take care of it right, mid way to 100k atleast.

O well who knows on that since it might have been sold in the last 8 days at that price.

Overall my HP goal was never high, either stock or 300rwhp sooner or later. I've heard soooo many horror stories and avgs of apex seal or coolent seal failure to be 70k-100k.

Amp you have one nice cym...damn
