Thumbs up

so heres my problem, i took my car for a long trip (philly to pittsburgh) over 400 miles. Ran beautifully the whole way until i hit stop and go traffic and noticed that i was idleing at 1500 rpm. after my trip i let the car sit and messed around w/ the TAS but it wouldn't drop any lower than 1500 . I figured it wasn't a major problem so i left it alone until my return trip. On my return trip i put it in neutral occasionally to check my rpm's. and heres where it gets weird. the rmp's would get stuck at 2000 until i blip the pedal, which then would go back to 1500. This is now happening often (but not always). What should i do? would adjusting the AAS help w/ this? Why is it getting stuck at 2000? Thanks for all your help ahead of time

yeah.. high constant idle usually is a vacuum leak.... but its only one possible answer of the myriad of the things that could be wrong.
