Mine usually stays at 84-85C and only jumps to 86C if given ****.
Same with mine. Anything over 90C I start to worry. But usealy it drops down really quickly.

Damn your guys cars run really cool. Mine will cycle from 92-99C. Only when I am on it hard do I see 102ish and it comes down quick. The Fluidyne rad helps a lot.
The only time I see temps around 86-88 is when I am cruising on the freeway with outside temp at about 40F or below.
You do realize that 84C is about 183.2 and that means your t-stat just opened up a few degrees before.
110C is about 230F which is just about as hot as you want to ever run, plus I would not shut the car down at that temp. But it is just fine to see those temp.

On the stock thermoswitch, medium speed fan kicks on at 221 F. High speed at 226 F.
Yesterday I was getting 210 to 215 F. after boost but it quickly recovered to about 190 - 195 F.
This is on Stock ECU, OEM t-stat, DP, HF Cat with Fluidyne radiator 40/60 Coolant to distilled water ratio, Miata Thermoswiitch, stock R1 dual oil coolers and Synthetic oil. Ambient temp was 85 to 90 F. w/low humidity and my sensor is mounted in the TB coolant line.
And if you want Celcius, do the conversion or move to France.

PLease post your cooling setup for that cool of temps.
Also what is the outside temp. like at the track? 75 degrees or 95?
Fluidyne Radiator, PFC set to 85C for fullspeed fans. 98% distilled water mixed with Redline Water Wetter and 2% Ethylene Glycol.
And the track temp that day was about 79F. But even on 91F days around here i only see 81-83C for water temp and an occasional reach to 85C when sitting in traffic. Once I start moving the temps drop back down to 83-84C.
