That sounds about right. Do you have the stock rad? What mix of distilled water and coolant are you running?

Also, a quick fix is to pull your a/c relay......when you turn on the a/c switch with the cabin fans on, it runs the fans under the hood to cool things off.

Hope this helps,

seeing how i rarely use the a/c in the summer anyway, i found it to be very useful. well, mostly because i have not done a fan mod yet.....

How do you set the fans to come on at a certain temperature on my power FC commander?

Um, you guys are getting a little crazy with the temps here. 89c is right about 190F. The thermostat on the car doesn't even open until 180F. As long as you keep the temps below 100c, or 216F for us Yankees, you're ok. I have the stock radiator and I live in South Florida, and with the a/c on I'm able to keep my temps below 92c with the fans turned on manually. I just ran a wire to the fan relay and installed a switch next to the foglights. Now I can turn the fans on and off whenever I feel like it. When the car is over 90c I just throw the switch and I'm good to go. Plus you don't need a PFC or a Datalogit to do it, even though I have one.

It's set that way for most of us Japan guys because of the style of racing...drag/circuit. Or inother words prolonged drag racing with minimal to no cooling time between runs...so have to keep the temps down initially to last...

when people say the thermostat doesn't open until 180F, does that mean the fans don't come on until then or that the coolant doesn't start flowing until then?
